ABOUT JULIAN

Hi, I am a guitarist living in Finsbury Park, North London offering high quality tuition to players of all ages, styles and abilities. I have played for over 20 years and have a 2:1 BMus hons degree in Music Performance as well as Grade 8 Music Theory.

My musical education has been very fortunate and I’ve been educated by some of the most experienced and talented guitarists in the world, most notably Guthrie Govan, Shaun Baxter, John Wheatcroft, Amit Chaterjee, Pete Whittard and many more.

I have vast experience of performing in live and studio environments. I have played live at venues such as The Roundhouse, BBC Television Centre, Cargo, Fabric and The Union Chapel. 

I can play an array of styles on electric or acoustic guitar. I have played pop, alternative rock, folk, soul, disco, jazz and electronica in many different settings.

Lessons will be suited to your interests and needs. Nothing is worse than a tutor that doesn’t listen to their students needs and doesn’t engage their passion and the music they love. 

My teaching experience over the last 15 years has covered absolute beginners up to 3rd year Degree students and I’m very proud to have a 100% pass rate of graded exams of all of my students.

My rate is £20 an hour for the first lesson, so you can see if I'm the right person to help you learn guitar and progress with your musical journey.
